Clovis Community College Earns Silver 2023-24 Military Friendly® School Designation

Clovis Community College recently earned recognition as a Silver 2023-24 Military Friendly® School. In order to be named a Military Friendly® School, an institution must “strive towards and succeed in the areas that matter most in helping veterans make the transition from the military to school and, ultimately, satisfying careers in the civilian world.”

“Clovis Community College is proud to once again receive the Military Friendly® School Silver designation. CCC prides itself on providing our active military members, veterans, and their families with exceptional educational opportunities on our campus, online, and at Cannon Air Force Base,” said Interim President, Dr. Robin Jones.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Ratings are determined within a logic-based scoring assessment that measures an institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2023-2024 survey with 665 earning special awards for going above the standard.

CCC has been named a Military Friendly® School previously, but the Silver designation shows a heightened commitment to bettering the educational landscape and providing opportunities for the military community. This is the second year in a row that CCC has earned the Silver designation.

“This designation shows our commitment to serving the needs of our military and veteran students and families,” said Dr. Robin Kuykendall, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. “At the same time, the annual application process allows us an opportunity to identify ways we can continuously improve to ensure we are meeting the needs of our military community and strive to serve our students in even better ways.”
