Clovis Community College’s Cultural Arts Series announced the 2023-24 season lineup at a Kickoff Open House event on Friday, August 25 at the historic Norman & Vi Petty Performing Arts Center (Mesa Theater).

The season will see six new acts come to Clovis, with one returning group and a community theater rendition of A Christmas Carol from the CCC Cultural Arts Players.

“We’re back! From an ABBA tribute to a Yale acapella group with Motown in between, we are bringing back popular favorites and so many new performances,” said CCC Cultural Arts Series Director Christy Mendoza.

The FABBA Show- Tribute to ABBA, will kick off the season on September 23 at 7 p.m. at Marshall Auditorium. Featuring a high-energy, full-of-fun, and internationally acclaimed cast that will take you on a glittery, sparkling, and truly magical journey back to the disco and the 70s, The FABBA Show will provide a night out to remember.

On October 19, the Villalobos Brothers will perform at 7 p.m. at Marshall. Their original compositions and arrangements masterfully fuse and celebrate the richness of Mexican folk music with the intricate harmonies of jazz and classical music.

The Anderson Quartet (formerly D’DAT) comes to the Norman & Vi Petty Performing Arts Center on November 11 at 7 p.m. Through the support of visionary multi-cultural Jazz fusion drummers and bassists, Anderson builds safe havens for Navajo (Diné) melodies to converse with various styles and pathways for expression.
