Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Computer Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day IT services with numerous small business and home user customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to service requests and support tickets via phone, email, or in-person
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, printers, and other peripherals
• Support users with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and other commonly used applications
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and asset inventory
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding users, including account creation and hardware setup
• Perform system updates, patches, and basic network troubleshooting
• Collaborate with other IT staff to escalate complex issues when necessary
• Maintain security best practices and adhere to company IT policies
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support or help desk environment
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 administration
• Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems a plus
Work Environment:
• Office or hybrid environment
• May require occasional lifting of equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
• Some after-hours or weekend support may be needed during outages or system upgrades
