Chamber and CIDC Kick Off COVID-19 Support Initiative for Restaurants and Businesses

(Clovis, New Mexico) Thursday, March 19, 2020—Clovis Economic Development (CIDC) and the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce are seeking community participation in their new #ClovisDelivers initiative. COVID-19 restrictions are wreaking havoc on our economy, forcing many businesses to close their doors and lay off employees. In effort to stay afloat, many of our local restaurants and businesses are implementing options in compliance with social distancing, including home and curbside delivery options – but the future still looks uncertain for many.

Starting this weekend, #ClovisDelivers calls all community members to support their efforts and utilize takeout, drive-thru, delivery and curbside options as a way to show encouragement to these important members of our community. The #ClovisDelivers initiative kicks off tomorrow but will be an ongoing mission as we persevere through this trying time.

We all know how powerful our close-knit community can be when we band together during difficult times. In the wake of these recent coronavirus restrictions, our local restaurant and business owners now need that kind of above-and-beyond support multiplied by a thousand. When you choose to support our local restaurants this weekend and during this crisis, you're not only helping to protect small businesses – you're also helping their employees, food suppliers and the Clovis economy at large.

For a list of all participating restaurants and businesses, visit Please also join our #ClovisDelivers Facebook group.

The Chamber is offering #ClovisDelivers posters to any businesses and restaurants who would like to participate. They are available for pickup in the vestibule (the enclosed entrance) at the front of the Chamber office at 105 E Grand Ave. Please respect our 2-poster limit per business and call 575-763-3435 for more information.
