Clovis Community College Earns Silver 2022-23 Military Friendly® School Designation
Clovis Community College recently earned recognition as a Silver 2022-23 Military Friendly® School. In order to be named a Military Friendly® School, an institution must “strive towards and succeed in the areas that matter most in helping veterans make the transition from the military to school and, ultimately, satisfying careers in the civilian world.”
“We are proud to receive the Military Friendly® School Silver designation. Clovis Community College prides itself in providing a Caring Campus atmosphere to all of our students, particularly our active military students, veterans, and their families,” said CCC President, Dr. Charles Nwankwo.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Ratings are determined within a logic-based scoring assessment that measures an institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
CCC has been named a Military Friendly® School previously, but the Silver designation shows a heightened commitment to bettering the educational landscape and providing opportunities for the Military Community.
“This designation shows our commitment to serving the needs of our military and veteran students and families,” said Dr. Robin Kuykendall, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. “At the same time, the annual application process allows us an opportunity to identify ways we can continuously improve to ensure we are meeting the needs of our military community and strive to serve our students in even better ways.”
