About Us
The mission of the High Plains Humane Society is to reduce animal cruelty, exploitation, and neglect. We advocate for sensible public policies to institute positive change and to educate the general public on the importance of being responsible pet owners. Knowing that sterilizing animals is key to solving our over-population and high euthanasia numbers, we offer a low-income spay/neuter program. We are constantly striving to make this world a better place for our furry friends, and networking with other organizations who also share our beliefs.
The High Plains Humane Society is a 501-C3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible under the 501-C3 section of the IRS code. We are based through the High Plains Community Development Corporation.
The High Plains Humane Society organization has an ongoing low-cost spay/neuter program, as well as educational programs and the intent to work with local partners to expand our mission.
“THE GREATNESS OF A SOCIETY AND ITS MORAL PROGRESS CAN BE JUDGED BY THE WAY ITS ANIMALS ARE TREATED.” – Ghandi
