CMS, Cannon AFB & Clovis Community Receive Award at Washington DC Ceremony

Representatives from Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis Municipal Schools and the Clovis Community traveled to Washington DC this week to accept the 2019 Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Military Child Education Coalition at its annual award ceremony.

“Your community partnership truly lives the MCEC vision to “ensure inclusive, quality educational opportunities for all military-connected children.” Working together, you’re all making great things happen for great kids!” – MCEC stated in an award letter.

Superintendent Renee Russ and Deputy Superintendent of Employee Services Joe Strickland attended Tuesday’s ceremony to accept the award on behalf of Clovis Municipal Schools.
